To the TOMF Supporters and Hockey Fans – please remember the Stanley Cup Photo Op is a two-hour event only, 1 – 3 PM, so photo opportunities could be limited. The TOMF will do it’s best to get the most photos possible taken within this two-hour block. Photos are limited to ONE photo per group or individual. The line-up will begin on the side walk north of the BOLD School in Bird Island. Volunteers will be present to give directions on how to proceed from there. There will be limited space in t~e photo. area. so please limit the items you bring along. Most important, don’t forget your cellphone or camera! A free-will donation will be collected for each photo to support the children of the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation. We ask for your patience and understanding as we take this rare opportunity and turn it into a life-time memory.
U.S. Senator Tina Smith’s staff will be in Olivia today at 4:00 at the Renville Co. Hospital’s Cosgriff Conference Room. Smith is a member of the Senate’s Health Committee. You’re invited to attend and share thoughts and concerns about the cost of health care, including prescription costs. Along with members of Senator Smith’s staff, health care experts and care providers will be there. The meeting again will take place at the Renville Co. Hospital at 4pm today.
The two men accused of burglary and assault from an incident late last Wednesday night in Willmar have been named. 24 year old Brady Hutchinson of Willmar is charged with fleeing an officer, obstruction of legal process, fifth degree assault, and 2 felony counts of first degree burglary. Also charged is 23 year old Justin Brainerd of Lake Lilian, charged with fleeing an officer. The two were trying to get on top of an apartment building to get In touch with a person who lived in the upstairs apartment on 6th Street Southwest in Willmar when residents in the lower level called police about noises they heard. Both were taken to the Kandiyohi county jail with bail set after appearing in court last Friday.
