A 3 vehicle accident was reported south of Willmar on U.S. 71 Tuesday afternoon around 5:30. The State Patrol says two vehicles were stopped and waiting to turn left when a southbound vehicle rear ended one of them, pushing it into the other vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Litchfield police arrested a 37 year old man on a number of charges Monday afternoon at a North Holcombe Avenue location. The man, from Hutchinson was arrested for 3rd degree DUI, 2nd degree refusal, also failure to yield, driving after revocation and possession of drugs. He was taken to the Meeker County Jail pending a court appearance.

A one vehicle accident on 1-94 Tuesday injured two people in Douglas County near Alexandria. The driver, 23 year old Drew Quame of Eagle Lake lost control on the freeway, which had snow and ice on it. The vehicle wound up on its side. Quame, and a passenger, 23 year old Nolan Grose of Waterville, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Another passenger was not hurt. All 3 had seat belts on.


Litchfield police arrested a 22 year old man Tuesday on a Department of Corrections Apprehension and Detention order. The man was charged with being a felon in possession of ammunition. He was caught at a West 2nd Street residence and taken to the Meeker County Jail. Police in Litchfield also arrested a 49 year old man from Darwin for tax
evasion and for not having insurance. The arrest was made on east highway 12.
