A hilarious comedy about the trials of retirement directed by Matt Hegdahl. Cast of four, two retired couples in their 60s. Would be fun to feature real life couples, but not a priority. We have plenty of grey wigs so age isn’t a factor.
A hilarious comedy about the trials of retirement. You meet up with a couple of middle age geezers who have retired and are trying to format their coming years. Marty, a former teacher, has thought deeply about buying a Harley and hitting the road someday. An idea many may have in their 40’s, but he’s older; and his wife, Deb is pretty worried about his safety and well-being on a two-wheeler. Their friends are Fred, a retired accountant, and Gladys, his wife. Gladys and Deb are enjoying having time to get involved with more activities. The guys, not so much. But, somehow the men get sucked into learning some new skills. This is when anything that might go wrong does go wrong.
If you haven’t acted at the LT in a while you will be pleasantly surprised by the upgrades we have made. The Green Room has been de-cluttered, has a fresh coat of paint and separate cubbies for your belongings. We have installed new LED stage lights, so you will no longer melt!! We have also purchased a movie screen with a rear projector, that will enable some creative scene changes.
This cast will also have the privileged of presenting a private performance for the New London-Spicer Area Community Fund board and donors.
