Willmar Mayor Marv Calvin says the KandiMall owner has come forth with a plan to use some empty space there for Willmar’s City Hall. The city could buy or lease space, but would also have to handle the malls snow removal and pay to have the west parking area near the old K-Mart located re-paved. The purchase price for space in the old Herberger’s location would be just under $800,000.00 according to the mall. The city will host a public input meeting on city hall site options tomorrow at 4:30 in the Fire Station training room.
