A driver was injured on I-94 near Evansville shortly after 4 pm yesterday. 73 year old Judith Abrahamson of Fergus Falls was westbound when she drove into the median ditch. She was treated for non-life threatening injuries in Alexandria.
On June 4th the Douglas County SWAT team executed a search warrant at a home on Fillmore St. in Alexandria. Drugs were seized with a street value of over $15,000.00. 4 people were arrested including 36 year old Derrek Valicenti of Alexandria. 31 year old Joe Herdman of Henning. 38 year old Germane Flemons of Chicago and 36 year old Delores Ellzey of Chicago. The investigation is ongoing.

Last Wednesday evening around 8:30 pm a Kayaker on the Mississippi found a body north of the St. Cloud Water Treatment Plant. The body, a male, was found near the west bank in a back water area and had been there for some time. The person has not yet been identified and an autopsy is being done.
The New London-Spicer School board has named Jamie Boelter as its new Principal. Boelter has been the New Ulm Middle School Assistant Principal and Activities Director. He was one of 5 candidates interviewed for the job. Also, a retirement open house for Superintendent Paul Carlson will be held Thursday June 13th from 5-6 pm in the performing arts center lobby. Carlson, who retired after 23 years, will be replaced by Bill Adams.
Willmar police recovered a stolen vehicle just after 1 am Monday morning. A 24 year old woman and a 19 year old man were arrested. The vehicle was found on north business 71 in Willmar.
3 vehicles were involved in a crash Monday afternoon around 3 pm on highway 55 near Glenwood. A car driven by 23 year old Kyle Hollenbeck of Lowrey was stopped, waiting to make a left turn when it was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by 30 year old Paula Wilson of Alexandria. Wilson’s vehicle then hit a car driven by 42 year old Winter Raymond of St. Augusta. Hollenbeck, the driver waiting to turn left, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
