Lots of fun stuff coming up in July to benefit the Kandiyohi County Food Shelf

Al is heading up a contest between:
~The Kandiyohi Co. sheriff’s Dept. vs. Willmar Police Dept. Who can raise the most money.
~Area churches are challenging each other.
~Senator Andrew Lange and State Representative Dave Baker are challenging each other.

The food shelf traveling trophy goes to the winning dept. and to the top individual. And will include gift certificates from area businesses

DID YOU KNOW: It takes around $580.00 a day to keep the food shelf open and some area businesses are stepping up to sponsor a day and raise the money!

We’ll have radio auctions on K95.3 to help out as well! Keep listening as we will have more coming on that.

The SHOE BUS will be at the Food Shelf July 9th, great footwear at a low low cost for people and the food shelf gets to keep a portion of the sales. The bus comes from the Twin Cities.

The Food Shelf Car Wash day is July 13th at Walt’s Corner.

The Pig Out to battle hunger is Thursday July 18th at Neer Park in New London.
with Pulled pork BBQ, the Little Crow Ski Show, Singer/Musician Jeff James. The Green Mill will also have a cash bar set up.

Al Sheldon will be at the Food Shelf with Jessie on camera duty Thursday morning (June, 27th) on air. Expecting Police chief Rick Felt, Sheriff Eric Holein, and hopefully Baker and Lange to be there. Listen in on K95.3 Thursday Morning.
