“The most important thing Minnesotans can do to stop the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home,” said Governor Walz in a statement. “I’m using this as an opportunity to lead by example. Though I’m feeling healthy and not showing any symptoms, I’m going to work from home and model the protocol we are asking all Minnesotans to follow.”
The Governor will self quarantine for fourteen days starting March 23rd to April 6th, while still overseeing the COVID-19 pandemic in MN. The CDC has requested that all Minnesotan’s practice good hygiene, work remotely if possible, and not gather in crowds larger than 10 people.
The Governor has been set to do a press conference at 2pm every weekday. Amidst implementing a self-quarantine, he is still expected to hold his conference.
