For the first time in its 27-year history, Winstock Country Music Festival is launching an online merchandise store. Winstock, the annual fundraising event for Holy Trinity Catholic Schools in Winsted, has been postponed to Friday-Saturday, June 18-19, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We know a lot of people like to get a shirt, sweatshirt or hat and load p annually on Winstock merchandise to commemorate their Winstock experience,” said Chairman Dave Danielson. “Even though Winstock is postponed, we wanted to offer our fans some of the merchandise that was already designed for the original June 2020 dates, along with some unique, specially-designed items COVID-19 items.”
Partnering with long-time merchandise provider Powertex, Winstock organizers launched the website for online sales May 21. Forty percent of all sales go directly to Winstock and Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.
“We are just as disappointed as anyone about not being able to head to Winsted this year for Winstock,” said Powertex Director of Business Development Dan Farsht. “But this store is a way for us to make sure Winstock enthusiasts can still get some Winstock items to keep their collections going strong, and to also help raise funds for the schools in Winsted. Winstock has been a great partner for over 15 years, and we want to support the event and the community at large through this pop up store.”
Items available for sale include Winstock 2020 hats, apparel, and bags with special quarantine-branded Winstock gear. All of the merchandise orders will be fulfilled in early July.
