Starting today, the Highway 28 detour route for the Starbuck construction project will change from Wollan Street to Holly Ridge Drive and Roiland Street. Eastbound traffic on Highway 28 will use Holly Ridge Drive to get to Sixth Street, and westbound traffic following the detour on Sixth Street will use Roiland Street to get back to Highway 28.
Crews will begin Stage 2b, removing pavement on Highway 28 between John Street and Wollan Street today, and will begin utility work at John Street heading east starting Tuesday.
Stage 2a on Highway 114 continues as well. As a reminder, in addition to Highway 28 west closing to John Street, the intersection of Highway 28, 29 and 114 is closed, as well as Highway 114 up to Eighth Street. North and southbound traffic on Highway 114 and Highway 29 are being detoured to Sixth Street, Abercrombie Street and East Eighth Street.
Meanwhile, concrete paving and shoulder work are complete in the section between I-94 and Airport Drive on the Highway 210 project west of Fergus Falls. Keep in mind, there still may be some local traffic restrictions in this area when crews return to replace sections of concrete that were driven through during curing.
Pavement removals and grading are now taking place between Airport Drive and County Road 21. Crews are also touching up the west end of the project, getting it ready for paving to start as early as Thursday.
