Catching up on a few area accidents on the state highways this past week…
A Chevy Malibu driven by 86 year old Shirley May Klatte was traveling southbound on Highway 15, slowing to go eastbound on County Road 27 in the Kingston Township area of Meeker County last Tuesday morning. A Chevy Equinox driven by 39 year old Silvia Meneses of Hutchinson was northbound on Highway 15. The vehicles collided at the intersection Klatte was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and Meneses was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A Chevy Silverado pulling a camper last Wednesday afternoon in Lake County by Castle Danger and driven by 70 year old Robert Palmer Carlson of Willmar was traveling east and stopped for a vehicle making a left hand turn. The driver of the Chrysler Town and Country van, 35 year old Abigail Ann Faas of Brainerd was also eastbound and was not able to stop. It collided with the camper and then went into the right ditch. Van passenger 7 year old Elizabeth Faas of Brainerd was taken to Lakeview Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
A Freightliner tractor/trailer driven by 78 year old Paul Victor Weidenhoeft of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, was northbound on Highway 15 in the City of Dassel on Thursday morning. A Ford Expedition driven by 51 year old Arick James Kirk of Minneapolis was eastbound on Highway 12. The vehicles collided at the intersection of Highways 12 and 15, sending both drivers to Hutchinson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
