Minnesota is still among the national leaders in self-response rates for the 2020 U.S. Census. In data released Sunday, Minnesota has a 73.4 self-response rate, while the U.S. average is 64.4 percent.
Chippewa County is leading area counties with a 71.1 percent self-response rate, with Yellow Medicine close behind at 70.2 percent. Meeker clocks in at 68.6 percent, Swift at 68.5, Kandiyohi at 68.3, Renville at 68.1, Lac qui Parle at 67.4 and Pope County brings up the rear at 59.2 percent.
