WILLMAR — 21-year old Christian Douglas Baron, of Willmar is going to prison following his sentence being handed down today. Baron got into a fight with a relative over who would wash their dishes. The October fight led to the stabbing and now a 2-year prison sentence. Baron was convicted on all four charges. Including, second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, felony domestic assault, fifth-degree assault and obstructing the legal process/interfering with a peace officer. Baron was sentenced to 27 months in prison and received credit for 175 days served in jail on the second-degree assault charge. He was ordered to pay fines and court fees totaling $200, to be taken from his prison earnings. Sentencing on the domestic assault and fifth-degree assault charges was continued without adjudication. On the charge of interfering with a police officer, he was sentenced to 90 days and given credit for 90 days already served.
